We may review publicly available professional or creator profiles to verify relevant nomination information.

Some information may be treated as sensitive personal information under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

Because Glamour Awards USA includes adult-industry and creator categories, information voluntarily provided by an applicant could, depending on what that person chooses to disclose, reveal matters relating to sex life, sexual orientation or other sensitive characteristics.

Participation in Glamour Awards USA does not, by itself, establish a person's sexual orientation, sex life or other private personal characteristics.

We do not intentionally infer unrelated sensitive characteristics merely because someone applies, votes, attends an event, follows our social accounts or appears in event photography.

Please avoid providing sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your application.

Where applicable law requires additional consent, notice or rights in relation to sensitive personal information, we will provide them.

6. Why we collect and use personal information

We may use personal information to:

(a) administer applications and nominations;

(b) verify age and eligibility;

(c) communicate with applicants and nominees;

(d) create public nominee and voting profiles;

(e) operate public voting;

(f) detect voting fraud and manipulation;

(r) handle complaints and disputes;

(s) improve our website and services; and

(t) send marketing communications where permitted.

7. Public nominee information

Where you apply or agree to participate as an approved nominee, certain information is intended to become public.

This may include:

your stage or professional name;

your photograph;

your award category;

your biography or profile description;

your public social-media accounts;

your voting page;

your finalist status; and

your winner status where applicable.

Do not provide information intended for your public nominee profile that you do not want publicly displayed.

Contact information collected solely for administration is not intended to form part of your public nominee profile.

8. Photographs and promotional material

Authorized photographs may be used to create:

(a) nominee profiles;

(b) voting pages;

(c) nominee and voting artwork;

(d) finalist graphics;

(e) winner announcements;

(f) websites;

(g) social media;

(h) press and publicity;

(i) event promotion;

(j) email campaigns;

(k) event displays;

(l) promotional video; and

(m) legitimate historical awards material.

Submitted photographs may be cropped, resized, compressed, sharpened, color corrected, retouched, enhanced, upscaled, incorporated into branded artwork or have backgrounds removed or replaced.

9. AI-assisted processing

Glamour Awards USA may use artificial-intelligence-assisted and other automated creative tools as part of its production processes.

An identifiable photograph or other authorized content may therefore be processed using technology for purposes including:

(a) image enhancement;

(b) upscaling;

(c) sharpening;

(d) resolution improvement;

(e) color or lighting correction;

(f) background isolation;

(g) background removal or replacement;

(h) graphic and layout preparation; and

(i) related creative production.

Our purpose is to create or improve awards-related promotional material.

Use of an AI-assisted service does not transfer ownership of a nominee's original photograph to Glamour Awards USA.

We consider relevant privacy, security and data-processing arrangements when selecting technology providers used to process personal information.

Where a provider would process identifiable personal information for a materially different purpose of its own, we will consider whether additional notice, consent, contractual protections or another legal basis is required before using that service.

10. Voting information and fraud prevention

We may collect and use information including:

IP addresses;

device information;

timestamps;

email or account information;

voting activity; and

voting patterns

to operate and protect public voting.

Automated systems may assist with identifying potentially suspicious voting activity.

Where appropriate, suspicious activity may be reviewed before votes are invalidated.

Voting-security information is not used to infer unrelated sensitive characteristics about voters.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

Some technologies may be necessary for website functionality, security, fraud prevention and voting.

Other technologies may be used for analytics, measuring website use, remembering preferences, advertising or marketing.

Where applicable law requires notice, consent or an opt-out for particular technologies, we will provide the appropriate mechanism.

Additional information may be provided through a Cookie Policy or cookie-preference tool.

12. Marketing communications

Operational communications concerning an application, nomination, vote, ticket, transaction or event are not necessarily marketing messages.

Where you separately request or consent to marketing communications, we may send awards news, event information, partner information and relevant offers.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe facility provided or by contacting us.

Withdrawing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications reasonably necessary to administer an application, nomination, ticket purchase or other transaction.

13. Sponsors, partners and optional opportunities

Glamour Awards USA may provide optional opportunities involving sponsors, platforms or commercial partners.

Participation in the awards does not automatically mean that your private contact information will be given to sponsors for their unrelated marketing.

Where you actively request an introduction, offer or information from a partner, relevant information may be provided where this has been clearly explained.

14. Categories of service providers and other recipients

We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors supporting functions including:

(a) website hosting;

(b) cloud storage;

(c) email delivery;

(d) payment processing;

(e) ticketing;

(f) analytics;

(g) voting technology;

(h) cybersecurity and fraud prevention;

(i) social-media services;

(j) graphic-design and creative tools;

(k) AI-assisted technology;

(l) photography and videography;

(m) event production;

(n) professional advisers; and

(o) other services reasonably required to operate Glamour Awards USA.

We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

15. Sale and sharing of personal information

Glamour Awards USA does not sell personal information for money.

Some U.S. state privacy laws define terms such as “sale,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an ordinary monetary sale and may include certain advertising or tracking disclosures.

If our use of advertising or similar technologies falls within those definitions and applicable law provides an opt-out right, we will provide the required method for exercising that right.

We will not knowingly sell or share personal information in violation of applicable law.

16. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to Glamour Awards USA, you may have privacy rights such as:

the right to know or confirm whether we process your personal information;

the right to access certain personal information;

the right to correct inaccurate information;

the right to request deletion of certain information;

the right to obtain a portable copy of certain information;

the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling;

the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and

the right not to receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

These rights vary by state and are subject to exceptions.

California, for example, provides qualifying consumers rights including access/knowledge, correction, deletion and certain rights relating to sale or sharing of personal information.

17. How to exercise privacy rights

Where applicable, privacy requests may be submitted to:

[email protected]

Please identify the nature of your request and provide sufficient information for us to identify the relevant records.

We may request reasonable verification before fulfilling certain requests.

Where applicable state law provides a right to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, instructions for submitting an appeal will be provided with our response.

Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by applicable law, subject to appropriate verification.

18. International visitors

Glamour Awards USA is based around a U.S. awards event but may receive visitors, applicants and nominees internationally.

Where privacy laws outside the United States apply to our processing of an individual's information, we will take reasonable steps to comply with applicable requirements.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to remove privacy rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

19. Data retention

We do not retain every category of personal information for the same period.

Retention depends on factors including:

the purpose for which the information was collected;

whether the relevant awards cycle remains active;

whether information forms part of a legitimate historical record;

legal, tax and accounting requirements;

fraud-prevention and security needs;

whether a complaint or dispute remains unresolved; and

whether information remains reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Nominee, finalist, winner and event records may be retained as part of the historical record of Glamour Awards USA.

Published photographs, results, videos and promotional material may remain within legitimate historical coverage and archives.

Voting-security information will be retained only for an appropriate period required for voting verification, fraud prevention, security and dispute handling.

Financial records may be retained for periods required by applicable tax and accounting laws.

Marketing suppression information may be retained where necessary to ensure someone who opted out is not inadvertently contacted again.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, de-identified or otherwise appropriately disposed of.

FTC guidance recommends collecting only information a business needs, retaining it only for as long as there is a legitimate business reason, securing it appropriately and disposing of information when it is no longer required.

20. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, destruction or loss.

Access to personal information should be limited to people and service providers who reasonably require it for their role.

No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

FTC guidance emphasizes that businesses should understand what personal information they hold, limit access, protect information appropriately and assess the security practices of service providers.

21. Event photography and filming

Glamour Awards USA events may be photographed, filmed and recorded.

Coverage may include red-carpet photography, stage presentations, performances, interviews and general event footage.

Such material may be used for reporting, websites, social media, press, publicity, future event promotion and legitimate historical archives.

Appropriate event notices may be used to inform attendees that photography and filming are taking place.

Anyone with a particular privacy or safety concern should contact us or speak with the event team.

22. Children and minors

Glamour Awards USA nominations and participation are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly solicit nominee applications from children.

If we become aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been, we will take appropriate steps.

23. Third-party websites and platforms

Our websites and nominee profiles may contain links to social networks, subscription services, ticket providers, payment providers and other independent third-party services.

We do not control the independent privacy practices of those services.

Their own privacy notices and terms apply when you interact with them.

24. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy where our business activities, technology, service providers or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on our website.

Where applicable law requires additional notice concerning a material change, we will provide that notice.
